about

This album is an ongoing project that I'll be adding short instrumental pieces to on a regular basis. Each piece is inspired by a conversation I have with another creative on my Thought Mixing Bowl podcast.

This piece was based off a conversation I had with Andrea Santopietro for my Thought Mixing Bowl podcast (www.thoughtmixingbowl.com/thought-mixing-bowl-podcast-episode-with-andrea-santopietro/) and I was struck by the idea of how to build a community.

Some things to listen for as you listen to the piece:
I thought of the idea of the slow build of a community and the need to put in consistent effort for it to grow. So the note at the beginning stays repeating throughout the piece as other notes grow around it. There's also experimenting with chords and different notes to represent the idea of trying out different ways of trying to engage with people. Different instruments appearing represent different demographics or types of people joining in. Eventually the piece hits its tipping point as the community takes off. You'll know it when you hear it.

Does this piece mesh with your idea of how to build a community? Let me know what you think.
